Our philosophy

Making music is hard. It takes time, practice, and patience. That's part of what makes it rewarding. But the tools shouldn't get in the way.

Music software can be extremely powerful, but also complicated. You often spend more time learning the tools than developing your musical ideas. We think it should be the other way around.

We try to build clear and focused tools that stay out of the way. It's the best way to keep that precious flow going once you find it.

A mobile studio

Since 2014, we've been making Auxy Studio, an app for creating loop-based music. It started on iPad and later expanded to iPhone and Mac.

It's loved by many and often praised for its simple design and great sound. Apple called it "A super compelling app with a clean minimalist style" and gave it an Apple Design Award.

People use our app in different ways. Some to make their first beat, others to sketch ideas when they're away from the studio. Some even release full-length albums made only on their phones.

The future

Auxy has always been about removing unnecessary friction. We're continuing to build on this idea and right now we're working on our first hardware product. It will focus on the joy of playing music.
